Mission Navy Yard is one of the premier Washington DC venues for events of all sizes. With multiple event spaces and a prime location directly across from Nationals Stadium, Mission is the perfect location for your next event. Mission’s two floors, four large bar areas, three dining areas and spacious decks and balconies allow it to host events like birthdays, alumni events, late night wedding after-parties, corporate receptions, fundraisers, group brunches and dinners and more.
As much of our event business is repeat customers, Mission goes all out to ensure that your event is seamless! The events team will work with you to select food and beverage options, decorations and more. Our goal is to make planning and executing an event as easy and stress-free as possible for the hosts.
Unlike other venues, Mission does not charge room rental fees. Depending on the desired space, a minimum may be required. For larger events, Mission is available for buyouts.

The Cactus Room is Mission Navy Yard’s premier event space, with its own private bar. Its features include its own large balcony, a private bar, and two large televisions. A/V capabilities available in the space.
Capacity: 50-100 cocktail-style reception, 60 seated
South Capitol Bar
The South Capitol Bar is a popular space located on the second floor of Mission Navy Yard. Its features include balcony access and views of the Capitol.
Capacity: 50-75 cocktail-style reception, 40 seated (can be combined with Cactus Room for additional capacity)
Mission’s Main Bar area is the perfect place for large scale cocktail events. Its features include the largest bar in Washington DC at 150 feet, sconces and chandeliers, six 60-inch televisions, access to multiple decks and balconies and custom Mexican blankets hanging over the bar.

Main Bar - Front
The front bar is a space located in Mission’s main bar area by the large balcony overlooking the Plaza Bar. It is perfect for casual happy hours, gatherings, birthday parties, late-night celebrations and more.
Capacity: 25-40 cocktail-style reception
Main Bar - Back
This area is ideal for groups looking for a large space, bar and deck access and a dedicated television right in the middle of the action. This event space is popular for happy hours, birthday parties, late-night gatherings, and game watches.
Capacity: 25 - 75 cocktail style reception
Mission’s main dining room features access to multiple balconies. It is perfect for a large dinner and brunch groups. For large groups, Mission Navy Yard recommends a pre-set or buffet menu. Please contact our events team for sample menus.
Capacity: 50-75 cocktail reception, 60 seated (can be combined with other event spaces for additional seating)
The Plaza Bar is located on the first floor, overlooked by the Main Bar a floor above. It is perfect for casual happy hours, gatherings, birthday parties, late-night celebrations and more. Guests can order food and drinks from the bartenders on a master tab or start their own tabs.
Capacity: 100-125 cocktail-style reception
The Plaza Nook is located on the first floor, immediately to the left of the Plaza Bar. It is ideal for small gatherings that need a semi-private space with direct access to the bar, a dedicated television and the ability to open the garage door on warm days.
Capacity: 10-25 cocktail-style reception
